Seth M. Sahr is a founding partner of Novitt, Sahr & Snow, LLP.. with offices in Forest Hills, New York.  He has been in practice for more than 30 years and has experience in Corporate Law, Real Estate and Finance.  He specializes in the representation of cooperative and condominium boards of directors and the entities they govern.  The firm currently represents approximately 70 co-ops, condos and home owners associations throughout New York City, Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester.  Mr. Sahr has extensive experience in most matters touching the needs of community ownership regimes, including Corporate and Condominium governance, collection and enforcement, foreclosure, general litigation, finance, insurance, contract law, transfer, acquisition and sale of ownership interests in the community.  Mr. Sahr takes great pride in counseling his clients proactively to avoid future liability and in cost saving strategies.

 

Mr. Sahr also represents private clients in residential and commercial real estate matters, wills and estates.

 

Other Experience:

 

For approximately 25 years Mr. Sahr acted as Counsel to Assemblyman Ivan Lafayette, speaker Pro Tem of the New York State Assembly, running his district office legal clinic.  This clinic provided free legal services, on a weekly basis, to constituents in Jackson Heights, New York and surrounding areas.  With the retirement of Assemblyman Lafayette several years ago, Mr. Sahr was pleased to continue this valuable community service for the Assemblyman’s successor, the Hon. Michael Den Dekker.

 

Mr. Sahr and his partner, Tara Snow, are regular contributors to the Habitat Magazine, a trade publication for Cooperatives and Condominiums serving the greater New York City area.  He is a member of the New York State Bar Association.
